I have absolutely no consistency. It’s something I’m strangely embarrassed about, so I usually order whatever the person next to me is having.

Basic! A Nespresso pod at home. On office days, I pick up a flat white from Saint Espresso near ClearBank towers.
I’m in a black americano phase. Three a day. A flat white when I’m feeling basic.
An americano as soon as I wake up followed almost immediately by an oat latte.
Usually warm water then straight into dashboards.
I like 3 - 4 coffees in the morning and then switch to tea (only Yorkshire Tea) in the afternoon. I take my own teabags when visiting our London office. I live for caffeine.
Always a black filter coffee. Usually with my own grinder and V60 unless I’m hurrying to an early shoot, then it’ll be the closest cafe to the location.
No coffee. A cup of Earl Grey tea for me - no milk or sugar.
I wouldn’t call it a ritual exactly, but every morning I walk down to Saint Espresso in Shoreditch before heading into work. Best coffee in London right now and an incredible team. They hold their service to the same standard as the coffee itself, and they’re a fantastic team to work with on partnerships too.
I quit coffee almost as quickly as I started. It felt like an office rite of passage, but mostly just made me feel like the Jaws theme was playing internally. Now it’s homemade iced matcha with almond milk, which sounds more pretentious than it feels.
Not extremely picky on the coffee front, as long as I get my morning dose. Currently just getting it out of the bag, mixing it with hot water. Straight, no milk, no filter. I do eventually enjoy a quality double espresso.
French press with milk, paired with my morning fintech newsletter stack. That’s my balanced breakfast.
An espresso pre-gym to kickstart the day, followed by a couple of quick instant black coffees for efficiency - strictly before 3pm.
I love my coffee in the morning to sip on during the first hour of work, usually a black coffee made with a moka pot or french press (with a drop of honey).
Completely random depending on my day. Ideally strong and frothy. Coffee over tea all day.
Nescafé Azera Intenso and two sweeteners. I’m not too fussy with coffee which isn’t very fashionable these days. I also drink at least three before midday which is probably even worse.
Straight into it. Can’t even speak to anyone before the caffeine has hit. And then essentially keep going until bed time. I often wonder if there is any blood in the coffee in my veins.
I’m trying to stick to one per day, so I’m very intentional about it! During the week, I have coffee when I first arrive at the office or when I start work at home. At the weekend, coffee in bed when I wake up is my favourite.
I’m one of those odd people who doesn’t drink coffee. Swap it for tea and it’s a 7:30am brew, one sugar, and a chocolate Hobnob.
Caffeine is my only vice! I quit smoking 17 years ago, and alcohol 4 years ago - I bought a top-range coffee maker in lockdown and need three lattes before I can function.
If I’m home, a morning lap around Nunhead popping into Goodcup to create that break between ‘home’ and ‘work’. If at work, I’m in charge of buying the new coffee machine for the new office so pressure’s on to not ruin everyone’s coffee rituals!
I always seem to be on the run, so I’m an avid Hey You App user, loyal to Barrel One Coffee Roasters in Manly or the little local coffee shop my daughter works at, grabbing my skinny flat white extra hot so I can enjoy every last drop!
Strictly three coffees per day - all double espressos. First one at 8am, another one at 10am, and the last one when I absolutely hate the taste but need the caffeine injection at 3.30pm.
Oat flat white. Always. I like to think I was on them before it became an East London trope but realistically, that’s not true.
Since going tee-total 5 years ago, coffee is pretty much all I have left. So I poured (pun intended) all my previous geekiness on beer and wine into it. In short, I do Japanese cold drip coffee, prepared the night before and left slow-dripping overnight. My weirdest kink is I drink my coffee cold - even in winter.
I’m all about the French press these days. I buy my beans from Bad Coffee, a female-led specialty roastery in Hackney Wick where I live. Supporting local business AND a women-run business? Ticking two boxes at once, if you ask me! I add a splash of oat milk and 5g of creatine monohydrate because I’m a sucker for health supplements.
I used to drink a lot of coffee… I made the switch to decaf recently to help with stress and while I hate it (lol), it’s really helped!
I don’t drink coffee - I run on tea, determination, and the occasional chocolate bar.
I love Mocha! Greggs is massively underrated.
Grind beans fresh. 3 cup Bialetti, serve in a mug with foamed milk and one demerara sugar.
I live in San Francisco, but work London hours so I depend on a large pour-over coffee at 5am to power me through the morning.
Latte at 7 am, then I try (and sometimes fail) to switch to herbal tea.
At home it’s the South African place on the high street. Depending on who serves me I either get rugby chat or spiritual advice… in town it’s usually a flat white from Black Sheep Coffee.
A cappuccino (with real milk, thank you) to start the day. Two max. After that, it’s willpower and water.
Bialetti stove top, whilst scanning through a few different local news sources: The Daily Aus newsletter, plus The Age and Capital Brief apps. Followed by a feeble attempt to help my four year old get dressed ‘quickly’ for kinder 🫠.
I’m more of a tea person, dabbling in coffee. Mid-morning flat white is a good energization point. Anything in the afternoon and I can’t be held accountable.
I start the day with an Americano - it keeps me mentally alert and focused.
An oat flat white at 11am, then tea the rest of the day else I can’t sleep!
Double espresso first thing. Made with a Bialetti stovetop espresso maker and Lavazza Rossa. One sugar.
I stick to black coffee before lunch, white coffee in the afternoon. Nothing crazy.
Wake up: cup of tea. Then I’ll go to the office and have a black Americano. I’ll follow this about an hour later with a second. Then, throughout the afternoon, yet more tea.
Latte first thing, then another mid-morning once I’m in the swing.
Home barista. A flat white first thing - non-negotiable. Latte art’s still a work in progress though.
Lately it’s been an iced latte mid-morning, and I like to have a walk around the block back home as I drink it. I’ve tried to build things like this into my morning routine as a remote worker.
Iced coffee (black, poured in a pint glass; two in total) made at home - it’s the very first thing I do / consume at 5am.
No coffee. Matcha tea. The 20 minutes of clear thinking from coffee is too high a price for the crash that follows 🫠.
If I’m working from home it’s a Nescafé Azera at 9am with milk and one sugar. If I’m on the go it’s either a flat white or cappuccino, depending on my mood.
I’m trying (and failing) to just have one in the morning at the moment. Will either grab an iced coffee on the way into the office or make an americano at home.
I don’t drink coffee unless I desperately need a caffeine hit (e.g. tired and driving). I am a daily tea drinker though.
Sage Appliances machine at home spoiling me with freshly ground beans, and a four-shot espresso (I know) with steamed milk. I’m a zombie before this!
Espresso, extra hot. Because lukewarm ambition is not an option.
5:30am start. Intenso Nespresso with traditional steamed milk. Silence before the storm then F45 at 6:15.
After a period of caffeine abstinence I’m now limiting myself to an americano first thing and another just after lunch. Any more and things go south pretty quickly.
I hate coffee (I know shocker). I’m a builder’s tea kinda gal through and through. I do indulge in a daily matcha too (hot with coconut milk).
Instant, black, and frequent (see below on why).
I start the day with a cup of tea, then switch to coffee mid-morning - usually a skinny flat white, always extra hot!
I don’t drink coffee - see below.
I usually start with a brew in bed (thanks to my lovely partner), followed by a dry cappuccino once I start work.
Oat latte, made at home, served in a SoleCup for the commute into the office.
Is it OK to admit I only drink tea? Yorkshire Gold preferably.
Strong black coffee just before 7am. The day is a battle and caffeine is your first weapon. For the coffee nerds out there my stack is Pact Coffee | B Corp™ for beans, Sage Appliances for grinding, Bialetti for boiling.
3 shots of espresso on ice with a splash of water added.
When I arrive at our New York office in the morning, I get a simple plain black filter coffee. No milk or sweeteners please.
A cup of tea first thing when I wake up (usually made by my husband!), followed by a latte once I get to the office. We’re very lucky to have a barista bar in our London office.
It depends! If I’m in the office, I’ll grab an oat latte on the way in. If I’m working from home, I’m pulling out the Aeropress and pretending I know what “blooming” is.
I have a double expresso when I get into work, and then I try to lean away from the coffee after that, but I normally succumb to a post-lunch pick-me-up.
I make it at home. Been working on the froth. That’s the tricky bit. Gotta hold it just right, and slightly to the side.
